TENS in LABOR

TENS in LABOR

A pregnant woman sitting on a beige couch, holding a small electronic device connected with wires, likely a fetal doppler to listen to the baby's heartbeat.

What is TENS?

TENS is a safe, non-invasive, and medication-free method for managing labor pain. It works by delivering mild electrical impulses through electrode pads placed on the lower back. These impulses block pain signals and encourage the release of endorphins, your body’s natural pain relievers. TENS allows you to remain present and more in control during labor.
